Over 45.4 million people across the globe have been diagnosed with COVID-19, according to But there remains a mass of old master paintings in dealers’ stocks — and in collectors’ minds — whose asking prices still hark back to the age of Tommy Cooper. Unfortunately, in today’s market, and at those prices, many of these paintings will be as sellable as that Stradivarius canvas with the hole in it.. The actual numbers are believed to be much higher due to testing shortages, many unreported cases and suspicions that some national governments are hiding or downplaying the scope of their outbreaks. The criteria for diagnosis -- through clinical means or a lab test -- has also varied from country to country.
COVID-19 has killed more than 1.18 million people worldwide.
The United States is the worst-affected nation, with more than 9 million diagnosed cases and at least 229,585 lives lost.

The unemployment rate probably won't fall quite as rapidly in 2015, according to economists, especially if more people enter the labor force because jobs are easier to find. Yet another large spate of hiring similar to the gain in 2014 would make the low unemployment rate more believable.
"Hiring a veteran can be one of the best decisions any of us can make, and Wal-Mart is proud that we have hired more than 26,000 since we announced our Welcome Home Commitment on Memorial Day," Simon told Fortune. "Veterans have a strong record of performance under pressure and passion for service, which makes our pledge to hire, learn from, and support them easy."
Overall twenty-eight thousand bombs and other munitions were exploded over Yugoslavia a country the size of Ohio. William Cohen then secretary of defense characterized Allied Force as “the most precise application of airpower in history.” Some five hundred civilians died in the bombing a remarkably low number for such a high number of munitions expended. In its own account of the campaignNATO stresses that targets were “carefully sexted” and that “massive effort was made to minimise the impact of the air campaign on the Serb civilian population.”
Ranking third on our Top-Grossing list is Steve Carell. Despicable Me 2 was a huge hit this year, bringing in $919 million at the box office. Overall, the franchise has earned $1.4 billion at the box office worldwide and a third movie, Minions, is on the way. Belgium introduces strict 'last-chance measures'
Belgium, Europe’s hardest-hit nation at this time, is introducing strict new rules.
Nonessential businesses are closing for six weeks and a nighttime curfew is in place. Outside gatherings are limited to three people, and residents can only have one person over to their home.
Prime Minister Alexander De Croo called these "last-chance measures" as Belgium hopes to prevent the collapse of its health care system.
Belgium reported a 21.1% positivity rate on Tuesday. Last week, there were an average of 13,052 new cases reported each day.
